Make your assistants smarter by adding custom information, documents, and FAQs
A knowledge base is a collection of documents, information, and data that your AI assistant can use to answer questions. By uploading PDFs, text files, and other documents, you enable your assistant to access company-specific information.
Knowledge bases use RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology. This allows your assistant to find relevant information from documents during conversations and use it in responses.
To create a new knowledge base:
Go to Knowledge Bases Page
Navigate to the "Knowledge Bases" section in the dashboard
Click "New Knowledge Base" Button
Click the "New Knowledge Base" button in the top right corner
Add Name and Description
Give your knowledge base a descriptive name and description
Upload Documents
Add relevant documents to your knowledge base
Product catalogs, user manuals, reports
.txt, .md files - FAQ lists, policies
.docx files - Procedures, documents
Tabular data - Product lists, prices
Click the "Upload Document" button on the knowledge base detail page. You can upload multiple files at once.
💡 İpucu
Maximum file size: 10MB. Split larger files into multiple files.
Uploaded documents are automatically processed and split into small chunks. Processing usually takes a few minutes. When complete, the document status shows as "Ready".
Documents are converted to vector format and queried with semantic search. This allows the AI to search by meaning rather than exact word matches.
To add your knowledge base to assistants:
